Tenuta di Casa Bruciata, Umbria
21 April 2024

Stepping into Tenuta di Casa Bruciata feels like entering a fairytale. Nestled in the heart of the Umbrian countryside, this enchanting venue offers a perfect blend of historical charm and modern elegance, making it an ideal backdrop for wedding photography. On April 21st, I had the privilege of photographing a wedding at this magnificent location, and the experience was nothing short of magical. Tenuta di Casa Bruciata, once a medieval fortress, has been meticulously restored to retain its historical essence while providing contemporary comforts. The panoramic views, lush olive groves, and the majestic historical villa create a picturesque setting that is every photographer’s dream. Each corner of this venue tells a story, offering endless opportunities to capture timeless moments.

The day began with capturing the bride’s preparations. The exquisite Maggie Sottero gown hung gracefully, reflecting the morning light, while the elegant Kate Spade shoes added a touch of sophistication to the bridal suite. The bride’s anticipation and joy were palpable as she prepared, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Kleinfelds, renowned for its luxurious bridal collections, was the source of this stunning dress, adding an extra layer of charm to the shoot.

The ceremony took place in the Olive Groves, with the lush trees providing a serene and intimate setting. Despite the cloudy weather, the soft, diffused light created a romantic and ethereal atmosphere. Luisa Gorvasi of Bloom crafted beautiful floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings, adding vibrant splashes of color to the serene landscape.

Post-ceremony, the Olive Groves and the historic villa provided an idyllic setting for the couple’s portraits. The rustic stone walls of the villa, juxtaposed with the lush greenery of the olive trees, offered a variety of textures and tones that made each shot unique. The couple’s love and joy were evident, and it was a delight to capture these intimate moments against such a stunning backdrop.

As the sun began to set, the festivities moved to the Infinity Terrace, also known as the Orangerie. The terrace, with its open layout and panoramic views, was perfect for evening shots. The setting sun cast a golden hue over the scene, adding a magical touch to the reception. Guests enjoyed an evening of laughter, dancing, and celebration, and every moment was a testament to the love and joy shared by the couple.

This unforgettable wedding was brought to life by a talented team of vendors. Worthmore Jewelers in Atlanta, GA, provided the stunning wedding rings, while the bride’s personal jewelry and accessories added a personal touch to her ensemble. Hair stylist LBW and makeup Brides’s Friend Jamie Amos (@jamieamos) worked their magic, ensuring the bride looked radiant throughout the day.

Shooting at Tenuta di Casa Bruciata is an enriching experience, and a few tips can help make the most of this stunning venue.
